​Geoff joined the ASTeC Diagnostics Group in 2019, after completing a four-year advanced apprenticeship in Electronic Engineering in the Detector Systems Group in the Technology Department at Daresbury Laboratory. Throughout his apprenticeship, he completed an HNC and HND in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, together with NVQ L2 and L3 qualifications.

Since joining ASTeC, he began to pursue a top-up BEng degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering with the University of Central Lancashire. This is alongside his day-to-day role, which includes designing, building and testing electronic equipment for diagnostic systems for various ASTeC projects.
