On July 10th, less than a week after CERN announced discovery of a Higgs-like particle, the Big Bang came to Liverpool.
The Big Bang event is the UK’s largest science and technology fair. The North West regional event is a chance for schoolchildren to meet real scientists and engineers, to talk with them about their work, and gain an insight into what it is they do.
It is also the culmination of much work for the student participants from schools all over the region who have submitted projects from which a winner is selected to represent the North West at the next national Big Bang event in London 2013.
