Jon is a Project Manager with responsibility for delivering cryomodules to the Proton Improvement Plan (PIP-II) – a project that sits within a broader programme sponsored by the US Department of Energy.  The DoE's programme has the goal of better understanding the origin of matter and how neutron stars & black holes are formed.

Jon joined ASTeC in January 2019, transferring from the defence sector where, having specialised as a Reactor Test Engineer in his early career, he migrated to project management in 2009.

Jon is a chartered engineer and a member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers ​
