​Originally completing an Electrical apprenticeship at DL before leaving and gaining engineering and automation experience in several high speed production environments has led me to the position of Senior Diagnostics Engineer. I returned as an ASTeC Diagnostics engineer in 2002 and resumed my education, graduating in 2006 with a first class BEng in Electrical/electronic Engineering. I have been responsible for the development, implementation and reliability of many systems on ASTeC's accelerators including the RF High Voltage Power Supply control system, Machine protection system and beam position monitoring and orbit correction systems for the ALICE accelerator; along with the realisation of a Transverse deflecting cavity for the VELA accelerator. I am now focused on the teams' delivery of diagnostic systems for CLARA; and the co-ordination of the technical systems commissioning for CLARA phase one.
