The Versatile Electron Linear Accelerator (VELA) will feature a suite of diagnostics after the photoinjector to fully characterise the 6D phase-space of the electron bunches. YAG screens for transverse beam profiles, a variety of emittance measurement devices, an energy spectrometer dipole, and a transverse deflecting cavity for bunch length and longitudinal phase-space measurements. The transverse deflecting cavity was designed in collaboration with the University of Lancaster.
